This is the question which comes up if we look at the current incidences, media reports, news headlines and speeches by different Sikh organization leaders and individuals. Everyone has a different demand as:
- Sect leader should apologies.
- All sects in Punjab should be closed.
- All the sect follower (or Premi) must be boycotted at all levels in life.
- Government must arrest and prosecute Baba Gurmit.
- All of the above demands.
- Some particular set of above demands.
By looking at this demand list it can be seen that all these demands are just short sighted. By saying short sighted, does not mean that the demands are improper, but the purpose to say this, is solely to discuss our long term goals.
The single voice of Sikhs around the world today just not only be used for the closure of this Sauda Dera, but to close all the other shops of the other cults. Then thinking about this the quick questions that arise in mind are, Why? How?
Well, the answer to the first question is well known as these Sects are hollowing Sikhism very slowly up to an extent that it can easily be destroyed. Although it is impossible but yet these sects are the cause of a huge damage to Sikhism.
The second and the most important question is yet not been answered. Without having any solid answer to this question Sikh religion can not completely restrict the invasions of such cults. So, the time is to think real deep for the strategy or the answer.
Beheading this cult is not an answer, apology of the cult is not a solution.
If we really want to free our religion from these cults then its time to act individually. Because we let them chance to invade in our religion, so first of all we have to change ourselves. Only then we can think to change someone else’s mind.
We have to look at a bigger part of the picture, because if we widen our vision we find there are other sects too for example Radha Swami, Ashutosh Noormehaliya, Pyara Bhaneyara wala(He don’t desrve to be called as Pyara ‘Singh’) and the headache of decades Nirankari. How come these sects became so powerful that they challenged Sikhism and nobody noticed their rising. we only respond to the problems when they become too large to handle. One thing to be noticed here is that all these sects weeds cultivated and grown up in Punjab itself, nowhere else in any part of the world.
It is the time that we all are well awake because of this Gurmit Ram Raheem. We must stop feeding these snakes as they are going to bite only us in future.
Stop following any Sect(Dera) or Saint(Sant) right now, instead follow Sri Guru Granth Sahib. There is answer to your every question and query in it.
