We started Jhootha Sauda back in the days of Ram Rahim Singh’s issue of dressing up like reverend Guru Gobind Singh Jee, as a forum for the truth.
The site has been down for a while now, because of couple of personal reasons, and also due to health issues of the main contributor. Maybe its Baba’s curse….Hah! lol!!!!!
Well, quite the opposite. He was sick back in the days when he was contributing to the site, and now is doing much better by the Grace of Waheguru.
This site has done its purpose, to stand, to voice and to bring together a dialogue on the issue. Now we should let it rest in peace. It is going to be here, for archival purposes only.
The fight we saw in the last year is not new. It is the fight between blind faith and logic, the fight between fool’s vanity and wise’s pride. At the end of it , the only people who gained out of it were the politicians of punjab and haryana, and the baba for all the publicity he got.
And who were the real losers? – The followers of Baba, who could had spent those days contributing to their own lifes, instead they choose to retain their vanity by showing support to a rapist and a goon.
And partially, the sikhs too. Sikhism is very different religion from what we have made it. It is not about Hukamnanas from the partially political jathedars and the pretention of being sikhs, without living the Gursikhi Jeevan.
This discussion can go for ever. I close the post, hoping we spend more time in making ourselves better sikhs.
Sikhism starts with us, and if we are pure, Tenth Guru said “Raj Karega Khalsa. (The pure shall rule).”He never said, the cut-surd, non-veggie and whiskey addict, and drug addict punjabi will.
Sikhism starts with understanding the definition, which definitely is not “just wearing a khanda around your neck.
I have been a believer of two things that most of my brothers don’t agree with:
1. Khalistan is a political fad – I demand a secular India. Sant Bhindranwale never demanded Khalistan, he demanded equal rights in the state he lived in with the majority.
Demanding Khalistan is leaving our share on the whole of India, which is built on the sacrifice of blood of our ancestors, much more than any other majority or minority’s.
Sikhs own India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari as much as a Hindu or a Muslim owns it.
Trying to settle and separate into a small part of this land is running away like a looser and spitting on all the martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh and all the Gadhri Babas who spilled their blood equally with the people of other faiths for their “SECULAR” dreamland.
Demanding a state on the base of religion is like moving back towards stone ages, like Taliban. Civilizations develop and attain new heights in the neighborhood of other civilizations.
2. We are in the same situation, in which we were when Guru Nanak started Sikhism.
ਰਾਜੇ ਸੀਹ ਮੁਕਦਮ ਕੁਤੇ ॥ — “The kings are tigers, and their officials are dogs; they go out and awaken the sleeping people to harass them. The public servants inflict wounds with their nails. The dogs lick up the blood that is spilled.”
Thats exactly what we have seen happening in the last few years. All these Sikhs died, we lost the track of development, were left miles behind in education to attain What???????
Have you ever thought? What have we attained? Let me show you -
-A rule under a CM with colors of a chameleon.
-A greater divide between rich and middle class.
-A more corrupt system, where NRI’s with no education are considered models of society.
-A state which has highest number of female foeticides and highest volumes of liquor flow.
-A state with a wine shop in every town and 14 rickety libraries in the whole state?
Everyday, I close my eyes, and I dream of the land of legendry Udham Singh, Kartar Singh, Bhagat Singh and then I see, what great punjabi writer Nanak Singh saw in Punjab years ago, when he was writing Chitta Lahu(White blood): Lifeless Hippocratic people of a Hippocratic society.
And all ye jathedaars, are you listening? Are you listening to the Jaikaras of Jagtar Singh Hawara, Balwant Singh, Shamsher Singh, Lakhwinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh, sikhs much noble than you all can ever be? And what is your choosen CM and Supremo of Supreme authority of Sikhs doing sitting on his @$$? He was not able to do anything to bring to justice anyone responsible for 84, atleast he could had been looking at the sentences being given to Sikhs during his reign. If Sajjan Kumar was served the same sentence these Singhs are expected to be served , I would not even had been writing a word.
Its a shameful day for Punjab. And especially for you’ll Sikhs. What least you can do,is to show your voice to your MLAs or contact your mama’s and masar’s and aunties and uncles, who may be either NRI’s or in the positions where they can force your legislative representatives to get up from their @$$ and do something wrongful decisions.
Guru Nanak Dev Jee, first guru of Sikhs quoted about similar situation during invasion of Babur in 1521.
“ਏਤੀ ਮਾਰ ਪਈ ਕਰਲਾਣੇ ਤੈਂ ਕੀ ਦਰਦੁ ਨ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥(There was so much slaughter that the people screamed. Didn’t You feel compassion, Lord? ||1||)
ਕਰਤਾ ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਸੋਈ ॥(O Creator Lord, You are the Master of all.)
ਜੇ ਸਕਤਾ ਸਕਤੇ ਕਉ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਰੋਸੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ (If some powerful man strikes out against another man, then no one feels any grief in their mind. ||1||Pause||)
ਸਕਤਾ ਸੀਹੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਪੈ ਵਗੈ ਖਸਮੈ ਸਾ ਪੁਰਸਾਈ ॥(But if a powerful tiger attacks a flock of sheep and kills them, then its master must answer for it.)
ਰਤਨ ਵਿਗਾੜਿ ਵਿਗੋਏ ਕੁਤੀ ਮੁਇਆ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥(This priceless country has been laid waste and defiled by dogs, and no one pays any attention to the dead.)
ਆਪੇ ਜੋੜਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੨॥ (You Yourself unite, and You Yourself separate; I gaze upon Your Glorious Greatness. ||2||)
ਜੇ ਕੋ ਨਾਉ ਧਰਾਏ ਵਡਾ ਸਾਦ ਕਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ॥ (One may give himself a great name, and revel in the pleasures of the mind,)
ਖਸਮੈ ਨਦਰੀ ਕੀੜਾ ਆਵੈ ਜੇਤੇ ਚੁਗੈ ਦਾਣੇ ॥ (but in the Eyes of the Lord and Master, he is just a worm, for all the corn that he eats.)
ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੇ ॥੩॥੫॥੩੯॥(Only one who dies to his ego while yet alive, obtains the blessings, O Nanak, by chanting the Lord’s Name. ||3||5||39|| )

The history repeats itself but with different consequences. Indira Gandhi pleased with the then Home Minister Zail Singh’s instrumentality in the aftermath of Nirankari episode elevated him to the President of India. Impressed by Home Minister Shivraj Patil’s machinations in Dera’s controversy, Sonia Gandhi has decided to promote him as the next President of the country. Zail Singh was criticized for lackluster performance in the same way Shivraj Patil is being targeted both by the opposition and UPA partners. CPI (M) blames Patil seriously lacking in “impeccable secular credentials” and accused him not being a ‘neutral person’ fit for the highest office. Why Sonia Gandhi does insist on Patil’s candidature? Why was Shivraj Patil so upset about Doordarshan’s (Government of India’s official TV network) coverage of Congress leaders’ links with Gurmeet Ram Rahim? Why did Patil fire Doordarshan Director (News) Swagat Ghosh? The answers to these questions indicate that there is more to Dera controversy than meets the eye.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s immediate problem is to wriggle out of murder charges. He won’t care if his followers accused in the murder are hanged to death so long as he is acquitted. A delegation of Punjab congress MLA’s met Sonia Gandhi after Punjab assembly election. Their one point appeal was to help Gurmeet Ram Rahim in CBI’s cases. Shivraj Patil’s direct intervention resulted in removing DSP Amandeep Singh who according to Ashul, Journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati’s son, had written to CBI Director to arrest Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Tehlka investigation points out that CBI is “hushing up politically inconvenient cases.” Similar apprehensions were expressed by Punjab and Haryana High court judges who said the CBI officers seemed to be acting on extraneous considerations.
The soul of Ram Chander Chhatrapati must have turned in his grave at the reward of z plus cover to the architect of his doom. The most provocative action of masquerading as tenth Sikh Guru proved a blessing in disguise. Tidal waves of Sikhs’ annoyance only elevated his confidence level as he has proved his worth in a big way by entering into an underground Sauda of his safety. He needed Z Plus more for upholding aura of the Guru than for his protection. His secret commandoes are highly trained to neutralize any impending threat to Baba’s life. What was beyond the control of his invisible militia was his dwindling halo around his head. Z plus has restored his awesome radiance that is the hallmark of any Guru. He must have been enjoying the excitement of astute trickster who instead of getting scared of the heightened threat succeeded in surfing it. Z plus has included his name in the club of select few, the membership of which is a rare opportunity to enjoy high profile status. Prime minister, cabinet ministers, Chief Ministers, Chief Justice of Supreme Court and High Court are some of the VVIP’s enjoying Z plus security cover. The refusal of Supreme Court to entertain security threat has been answered in a befitting manner by Haryana Government. As a part of bonanza, Dera Mukhi will get two custom made bullet proof cars, 36 commandoes with highly sophisticated weapons, and an electronic pulse jammer vehicle to immobilize any remote device in the area. This will add to the grandeur of a guru who claims to command paranormal powers at his command. His disciples cannot remain unmoved at the splendor of their Guru’s power not less than Chief Ministers, Chief Justices and Prime Minister of India. » Read the rest of this entry «
It was with great fanfare that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal listed out his government’s achievements on the day the SAD-BJP/RSS regime completed its 100 days in power. It was also a day after Sirsa Dera Sacha Sauda head did a repeat performance of the so-called Jaam-e-Insa ceremony, an imitation of the Amrit Sanchar ceremony. Independent of the lackadaisical approach of the Akali Dal, the SGPC and the government, Sikhs across Punjab were taking their line from the Akal Takht, boycotting the social functions and nam-charcha dramas of dera followers and resisting attempts by dera men to install the Guru Granth Sahib for their functions.
Clever Badal knew it was such an advent of the panthic sentiment which may prove to be his undoing. So, hours after celebrating his government’s achievements (whatever they are), Badal was confabulating with the members of the SGPC, asking them to ensure that requests from anyone for borrowing the bir of Guru Granth Sahib are not denied!
Badal must be the first Sikh chief minister asking the premier religious shrine management body not to follow the directive of the Akal Takht.
In turn, the SGPC members were no less worried about the supremacy of the religious body. Their prime demand? “The SGPC members should be allowed the use of red beacon lights atop their vehicles,” member after member of the SGPC urged Badal. They said the officers in the area should extended the same courtesies to them as they do to the area MLA. » Read the rest of this entry «
Gurmit Ram Rahim is back at it, Jaam-e-Insa in hand
But this time, clergy, Badal, panthic lobby are all silent
Twenty-four hours before a panthic delegation was to meet Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on June 11, and at a time when the CM was ingulging in loudspeak about the achievements of his government in the first 100 days since taking over power, Dera Sacha Sauda’s head Gurmeet Ram Rahim was back to his idiotic drama: distributing his Jaam-e-Insa once again in total imitation of the amrit sanchar ceremony of the Sikhs.
Cocking a snook at the state government which has registered a case under 295-A of IPC (Injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class), and fortified with his newly acquired Z-plus security, murder-accused Gurmeet Ram Rahim virtually challenged the entire Sikh panth on June 10 once again, distributing his roohafza-water concoction called ‘Jaam-e-Insaan’ to thousands of followers in Sirsa at a huge ceremony.
This time, the Sikh clergy did not issue a single statement, most panthic bodies seemed to have resigned themselves to the situation, the Parkash Singh Badal government enumerated the achievements in 100 days, not a single minister referred to what happened in Sirsa, and the issue did not come up at the meeting of the panthic delegation with Badal the next day.
How deafening can silence be? When the SGPC members met the CM on June 11, less than 24 hours after the repeat act of provocation, they did talk about Dera controversy but forgot to make any noise about the previous day’s developments at Sirsa and instead were keen to convince the CM that SGPC members should get the right to sport red lights atop their vehicles.
Dressed in a white kurta-pyjama with a shining red headgear, the Dera chief, himself an accused in case of molestation of young girls, was the first to drink the Jaam-e-Insa. Later, it was distributed among the followers, who had filled up a form and agreed to abide by the rules.
The ritual, which began at 7 p.m., lasted an-hour-and-a half and the ceremony was shrouded in complete secrecy.
Strangely, the Punjab Congress, which had been somewhat soft towards Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the attire controversy, strongly reacted to his June 10 function.
All visitors and their vehicles were checked thoroughly and the height of the boundary wall of the Dera is also being raised. The local administration, too, had positioned BSF and the local police on all roads leading to the Dera.
Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab - The Sikh Students Federation strongly criticized statement of Shiromani Akali Dal president Parkash Singh Badal , ‘in which he directed SGPC members to allow dera Sauda followers’ to organize their functions and also to allow them to carry Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
SSF President Parmjeet Singh Gazi claimed that Badal’s statement is in violation of edicts of non-corporation with dera followers issued by Akal Takht Sahib on 17 May and affirmed again by all Singh Sahibs on 20 May.
SSF President, who is also a member of 15 members Khasla Action Committee, claimed that June 24 “Khalsa March” from Dina Kangar to Takhar Sri Damdama Sahib is a step towards implementation of edicts of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Gazi made an appeal to Sikh Sangat to participate in this march and to pursue Akal Takht call for social boycott of dera-followers. He also demanded immediate arrest of dera head for hurting religious feelings of the Sikh nation.
NEW DELHI: Religious cult Dera Sacha Sauda, which has triggered sectarian strife across Punjab after an advertisement reportedly featured its chief Baba Gurmeet Singh as Guru Gobind Singh, is set to face the CBI’s heat on May 22 when the agency will argue before an Ambala court that the sect’s former office-bearers were involved in the murder of their fellow member when he tried to expose their misdeeds.
The matter relates to the murder of one of the 10 members of the cult’s Sirsa-based management committee, Ranjit Singh, who had spoken against Gurmeet Singh.
The CBI has filed a chargesheet against five disciples of the Baba, including Avtar Singh, the grandson of the previous head of Dera. Besides the Ranjit Singh murder case, the Dera is under the CBI’s scanner for two more cases, relating to the killing of Sirsa-based journalist Ram Chander Chatterpati and another pertaining to alleged sexual exploitation of sadhvis (women followers) by the Baba himself.
Chatterpati had extensively written about the alleged illegal activities of the Dera which has 36 branches in 11 states, including Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Dera was also in focus recently for its reach when it reportedly extended support to the Congress in the Punjab Assembly polls.
All Sikhs to come and join the peaceful protest starting from Gurudwara Fategarh Sahib at 10am tommorrow i.e. 31st May, 07 and ending at Gurudwara Sri Jyoti Swarup Sahib, Fatehgarh. All Participants must recite “Satnam Waheguru” and no display of arms.
The five high priests (Jathedars) of five Takhts, will meet later on Tuesday at Akal Takht Sahib, the highest sikh religious body, in Amritsar to consider the apology sent to them by the Dera Sacha Sauda.
The Dera sent a signed letter of apology to the highest Sikh religious body, the Akal Takht Sahib on Monday evening. The letter is signed by the Vice President of Dera Sacha Sauda.
